NETFLIX ENTERS EVEN MORE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

After Entering United Kingdom and Ireland in 2012 . Netflix Plans to enter even more Countries in Europe .the list includes France, Germany , Switzerland , Austria ,Belgium and Luxembourg.
In a recent Press Release, Netflix admitted that the above move is to increase revenue as the US growth is slowing down.Netflix also admits that this move will also affect their profit in the near future.
Existing Netflix users will be able to access their account in these accounts,which means American user will be able to use their account in European Countries and Vis-a-vis
Netflix is now available in almost 50 countries and their foreign revenue in 2013 was $712 million as compared to $2.8 billion in US.
Although the company is still not able to cover their cost , increased by the expansion.

CHIPSET FOR SMARTWATCHES BY QUALCOMM

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SOCs are already considered as the best in their range , but as usual Qualcomm wants to enter a new market.This time Qualcomm wants to enter the market of chipsets for Smart watches and their only competitor as of now is MediTek which launched its Aster, the chipset for smart watches
The market for smart watch’s SoCs is not captured and new and can help these company to grow more.

Qualcomm CDMA Technologies Taiwan president Eddie Chang claims the company is readying a SoC of its own. He says Qualcomm already has all it needs for the new SoC and will be ready to mass produce it soon.

although there are no official partners announced for the project as seen before for the chipsets used in the mobile but Eddie Chang promises we'll be seeing Qualcomm's chips in wearable devices later this year

WHATSAPP TEMPORARILY NOT AVAILABLE ON WINDOWS PHONE STORE

Whatsapp , the popular instant messaging service has been removed from Microsoft windows phone store for some time. Although the existing users will still be able to use their downloaded version
According to WhatsApp, there were some technical issues with the app, due to which it had to be pulled from the store. WhatsApp is now working with Microsoft to resolve these issues before the app can be submitted again.

SNAPDEAL RAISES ANOTHER $100 MILLION

Snapdeal.com recently raised $100 million from temasek ,BlackRock, Myriad, Premji Invest and Tybourne .this investment follows the $133 million investment from eBay, Bessemer Venture Partner which was 3 months ago.
Snapdeal is one the biggest Online retailer in india, and biggest competitor of Flipkart which is currently the biggest online retailer in india.
Snapdeal aims to capture the growing indian e-commerce market which is said to grow sevenfold in the next five year which is around $22 billion. The move of Acquiring the Fashion discovery site Doozton is seen as a step in the new market
