FACEBOOK’S NEW SOUND RECOGNITION FEATURE FOR TAGGING

            image image

facebook will soon launch a new audio recognition feature to tag the show or song that you are watching or listening . the feature will use your microphone to identify the media and will make it available so it can be tagged in the post on the newsfeed.
According to Techcrunch
Facebook built the audio recognition feature from scratch over the last year and it will roll out to iOS and Android users in the coming weeks. It’s an extension of the feelings and activity sharing option rolled out last year that lives in the little emoticon icon in the status composer. Facebook says 5 billion posts have used the options to share what you’re feeling (excited, tired), doing (Drinking coffee, playing basketball), or what media you’re enjoying. Soon that last activity type will be much easier to share thanks to the audio ID.
the feature has been developed using the APIs from Spotify ,Rdio And Deezer.although the licence permission stops them from showing video preview,so only the thumbnail ,episode number and title will be shown
users will be able to use application in few days
